I have been creating art, for better or worse, since I was a child. I remember painting by numbers (I never followed the numbers or lines) and then taking art classes in Junior High.
I graduated w/ an A.A. minor in Art from Mt. San Antonio College and a B.A. major in Art from CA State University, Fullerton. I continued studying Art and Art History at UCLA.
I mainly work with gourds and photography, but I am also proficient in Watercolour, Oil, & hand-strung jewelery. On occasion I make leather "medicine" bags for persons on the Canka Luta Waste.
The Gourds are directly inspired by Native American teachings and each tells a story.
My photography is directly influenced by what I consider to be beauty & human interest. I photograph those scenes, events, & living beings that I believe to be inspiring and beautiful that I want to keep visual memories of.
Hopefully you will be inspired as much as I am by my work!
